The Big Game meets Lunar New Year
During Big Game Week, the Chinatown Lunar New Year Block Party will transform Grant Avenue into a historic celebration in the heart of San Francisco Chinatown.

Produced by the team behind the nationally acclaimed BeChinatown Night Market, the Block Party celebrates Lunar New Year and the Big Game by bringing together local small businesses, cultural performances, music, and immersive programming. As an estimated half a million visitors from around the world arrive in the Bay Area, Chinatown becomes a focal point for food, culture, and community-driven storytelling.
Programming will include traditional lion dancing, live performances and music by AAPI artists, panel discussions as well as other activities to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Horse.

- The “glamorous grandmas” Grant Avenue Follies.
- Rapper Rudy Ibarra
- Special appearances by Mayor Daniel Lurie and First Lady Becca Prowda.
There will also be panel discussions featuring prominent AAPI chefs including Francis Ang and Michelin-starred, James Beard awardee Brandon Jew as well as current and former athletes such as Olympic medalist Kristi Yamaguchi, former San Francisco 49ers player Jesse Sapolu and Golden State Valkyries coach, Natalie Nakase. Emmy Award-winning journalist Dion Lim and Bay Area “hype man” Franco Finn will be emceeing the festivities. Someone from the lineup will be celebrating their birthday on stage that night, you don't want to miss out!
