San Francisco Shakespeare Festival's 44th season of Free Shakespeare in the Park brings you "Antony and Cleopatra," directed by Katja Rivera. SF Shakes is excited to partner with SF Recreation & Parks to bring Free Shakespeare in the Park back to San Francisco’s Sue Bierman Park in 2026. Since 1983, as part of SF Shakes’ mission to make Shakespeare accessible to all, their Free Shakes production to is brought to audiences around the SF Bay Area.

Set against the backdrop of the Roman Empire and Egypt, Antony and Cleopatra examines the conflict between duty and desire, and the impact of personal relationships on political power.

September 19 Showing: Preview show (preview shows allow the cast and crew to to make adjustments before opening in each venue; all are welcome to attend these complete performances.)


The show runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. No reservations or tickets are required and all seating is general and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Feel free to arrive early to claim your ideal seating location with chair or blanket placeholders.
