Mechanics Monument Plaza is proud to be home to a variety of Jazz Mafia combos every Wednesday from 12-2 PM, transforming this iconic downtown space into a vibrant lunchtime retreat. Featured Artist: La Familia Latin Jazz Trio

Christian Pepin is a 2x GRAMMY® Award-winning percussionist and 2016 GRAMMY® nominee known for his dynamic versatility and powerful rhythmic voice. Born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and coming from a celebrated musical lineage, he moves effortlessly across Latin, Jazz, Rock, and World music. Since relocating to the Bay Area, Pepin has built an international career performing and recording with acclaimed artists such as Mulatu Astatke, Poncho Sanchez, Kamasi Washington, and Sheila E. Today, he continues to push musical boundaries, fusing tradition with innovation as one of the most in-demand percussionists of his generation.
