Featured Artist: Sam Bevan Sextet
Born in Oakland and raised in Salt Lake City, Sam Bevan began classical piano at four, sang and played professionally, and earned a BA in French before focusing on bass, arranging, and composing. Since returning to Northern California in 1999 and relocating to New York in 2016, his versatile work across jazz, funk, folk, and Afro‑Cuban music has fueled a busy career and three CDs.
