Explore Solidarity Cinema, a new monthly film series at KALW Public Media.

Solidarity Cinema is a community-run archive of more than 9,000 films documenting solidarity, struggle, and social movements around the world. By providing free access to radical cinema and supporting grassroots screenings, the project helps organizers, educators, and communities use film as a tool for learning, collective action, and social change.

Films on view this month:

• Al-Sit (dir. Suzannah Mirghani, 2020) [20 min]
• The 'Spider-Man' of Sudan (dir. Rafa Renas & Phil Cox, 2022) [19 min]
• MY FIRST SHORT SUDANESE FILM (UNTITLED) (dir. Osman Abdelwahab, 2025) [1 min]
• Bougainvillea (dir. Yasir Faiz, 2025) [17 min]
• Adam & Howa (dir. Sarra Idris, 2015) [8 min]

Solidarity Cinema happens the final Friday of every month at 8:00 pm.
