Details
Join our inaugural Teen Program cohort for the opening of their group exhibition on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 1-4pm. The students have designed their own day of programming, including participatory zine-making, silkscreen poster making, poetry, and music to celebrate the power of art and storytelling.
Inspired by themes in our current exhibitions, like repurposing unexpected materials and amplifying narratives pushed to the margins, students have been making their own creative zines over the course of the semester. Zine-making employs inexpensive materials and DIY methods to publish unique and important voices. Students explored this art form with City Studio artists and Teen Program Lead Educators Amy Berk and Chris Treggiari and their amazing Mobile Zine-Making Studio (consisting of a Mobile Zine Machine and Mobile Art Bike).
The Teen Program exhibition will run from Saturday, March 1st through Sunday, March 16th, 2025.
Light bites and refreshments will be served at the opening reception.
The ICA SF Teen Program is supported by funding from the Foundation for Quality Housing Opportunities.
