Drag Me Downtown returned for its highly anticipated third year!

This fabulous series of pop-up drag shows lit up a different downtown San Francisco business every Friday throughout Pride Month, bringing sparkle, fierce performances, and a celebration of inclusivity to the heart of the city. Produced in partnership with Bobby Friday—the creative force behind Haus of Friday—Drag Me Downtown supported local businesses while serving as a reminder that Downtown San Francisco is for everyone.

What to Expect

Guests experienced electrifying performances by their favorite Bay Area performers as this sequin-studded series transformed local businesses (and an entire block!) into center stage for legendary lip-syncs. Attendees indulged in delicious bites, specialty cocktails, and a healthy dose of wit, grit, and undeniable glamour. All ages were welcome!

Registration

Drag Me Downtown was FREE to attend; however, pre-registered guests were guaranteed exclusive 2025 Drag Swag. Attendees also had the option to select a $10 registration fee, directly supporting The Transgender District, the first legally recognized transgender district in the world located in the heart of San Francisco.

Drag Me to Front St Block Party

The final event, Drag Me to Front St Block Party, took place on Friday, June 27, in California’s first-ever Entertainment Zone—and was be co-hosted by special guest, the legendary Peaches Christ. Plus, a post-performance after party! Guests experienced big energy, bold fashion, and unforgettable moments in one of downtown’s most dynamic spaces.

Keep the Party Going

We were proud to partner with Illuminate for an unforgettable kickoff to Pride Weekend! Immediately following the block party, the party continued to Embarcadero Plaza from 8-10 PM where Illuminate hosted the dramatic, pride-themed lighting of "R-Evolution," SF's newest and largest public art installation, lit by lighting designer Phil Spitler

After the stunning display, guests turned their eyes skyward as WELCOME transformed Market Street into the world’s largest Pride flag, made entirely of rainbow lasers stretching 4+ miles from Embarcadero to Twin Peaks.

To make the evening more memorable, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and Dykes on Bikes joined the Pride Weekend kickoff as special guests.
