Legendary bar with legacy in mind - we are breathing new life into the historic Harrington's in downtown San Francisco.
Leo Harrington, born in 1910 in Allihies Castletownbere, County Cork Ireland, hailed from a family deeply rooted in business. His father, Henry Harrington, a prosperous figure, owned the largest grocery store and pub in town, sourcing fresh fish from his own fleet. However, his involvement with the IRA during "The Troubles" led to a harrowing escape from British forces in 1929. Fleeing to Canada, then Butte, Montana, they eventually settled in San Francisco, where they thrived despite the Great Depression. Henry's knack for business saw him opening successful pubs, drawing on his reputation for integrity. His legacy lived on as he expanded the family's enterprise, leaving a mark of trust and prosperity.
