About the Artist

Fearmos is an independent motion design studio based in Indonesia, specializing in animation and immersive projection mapping. From global exhibitions to dynamic stage visuals and commercial motion graphics, the studio transforms spaces and screens into captivating experiences.

Their work has been featured internationally, including at the 2025 World Heritage Festival Special Exhibition in Korea and TERANG: Warisan Projection Mapping Showcase in Malaysia. Fearmos was also a finalist at the Singapore Night Festival and the 2025 .bdg Light Festival in Bandung, Indonesia.

About the Work

In tropical Indonesia, winter is an imaginary season. To understand its essence, Fearmos asked locals who have never experienced snow to describe their idea of a "perfect winter." Their answers revealed that for Indonesians, winter isn't about the cold—it is a feeling. It serves as a metaphor for a value deeply rooted in Indonesian culture: the warmth that comes from the simplicity of being together.

The Perfect Winter is a visual translation of this discovery. The artwork illustrates how the spirit of a foreign season is already alive within Indonesian communities, especially around Christmas, portraying winter not as a climate, but as a shared sense of belonging.
