About the Work

A boy runs out into a winter storm. By the time he stops, the way home he knows by heart is gone. Just when he believes he is lost, a light finds him and fills the snow with the warmest memories of the winters he shared with his father, until his father finds him and they walk home together, hand in hand.

Made from the artist’s own family photographs, The Way Home is a holiday story about family, coming home, and the love that was there all along.
