Featured Artist: Daniel Wang
Fourteen-year-old cellist Daniel Wang is an emerging talent whose 2025–2026 season features concerto appearances with the Guangzhou, Ningbo, Lanzhou, Parnassus, and Cambrian Symphony Orchestras. Selected as the youngest artist for Maestro Long Yu’s "Project Spring Bird" initiative, he recently performed at the Beijing International Music Festival, appeared on The Violin Channel, and was featured on NPR’s From the Top.
His competitive success includes winning the Gustav Mahler Cello Competition—along with special awards for best Haydn interpretation and from the institute's director—as well as top prizes from the California Youth Symphony, Enkor, American Virtuoso, and Paris International competitions. Currently studying under Richard Aaron at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Academy, Daniel previously studied with Weixi Luo and Leo Singer, has received masterclass guidance from artists like Jian Wang and Johannes Moser, and holds a strong additional interest in conducting.
This event is free and open to the public; no RSVP required.
