Midsummer Mixer Featuring:

The Museum of Craft and Design (MCD) is collaborating with the Lighthouse for the Blind and Downtown SF Partnership to bring inclusive art-making to the public spaces.

In addition to the art workshop, we'll have live music by Double Double.

The Vitreous Vessels MakeArt project is inspired by the creative process of Indie Folk featured artist Cappy Thompson. Join us as we give repurposed glassware a new look and feel through the process of glass etching!

Come craft with us and take home your work of art plus a FREE MakeArt Kit and museum ticket.

FREE event and drop-in activity, all-ages welcome!

Project Description:

Vitreous Vessels | This project uses glass etching to give a Cappy Thompson-aesthetic to glassware donated by local businesses Souvla and Ungrafted.

Lighthouse for the Blind partners with MCD to create more accessible and tactile/haptic projects.

Double Double consists of two long-time musicians, both who were struggling to make it during the pandemic, and now after the world is back open for business Double Double is geared up and ready to go.
