05/02 Featuring: Ray Goodman with Garrett Mingardi on lead guitar

ABOUT RAY GOODMAN: Ray Goodman is a passionate singer and songwriter with unique takes on classic R&B and Soul favorites. Born in New York, raised in Ohio on 70’s Classic Rock 80’s Pop and 90's Neo Soul.

Ray’s love of music began at 11, singing along to radio hits such as "Just the Two of Us" and "Sara Smile". After moving to the SF Bay Area, he sang tenor for 20-years with Conspiracy of Beards, a 30-men choir performing new arrangements of Leonard Cohen songs. He's performed across the Bay Area, in New York, Berlin, Amsterdam and Prague.

During live shows, Ray loves connecting to the crowd, sharing his deep passion and respect for R&B and Soul. Inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Bill Withers, Ray finds solace in their music and reinterprets classic hits with his new uptempo band: Ray Goodman and Friends.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Ray is also an accomplished chef; helping open two raw foods restaurants in the Bay Area. He’s also a passionate Lindy Hop swing and Cuban salsa dancer, both of which inform his song arrangements at live shows.

ABOUT GARRETT MINGARDI: Garrett found his passion for music at a very young age. Once he found out that anybody was allowed to learn and make music, he began to learn piano and hated it. So he switched to guitar and began listening to Pink Floyd and other classic rock bands and couldn’t stop playing! Nowadays he finds inspiration listening to Pat Metheny, Erik Söderlind, and Joe Pass for their approach to jazz guitar. Garrett teaches and performs regularly in the Bay Area.
