San Francisco Art Week 2026 is back and bigger than ever! From January 17–25, nearly 100 galleries, museums, non-profits, and creative spaces across the city will open their doors for a Bay Area-wide celebration of contemporary art and design. With 20 new galleries/spaces joining the 2026 lineup and an installation in nearly every neighborhood, it’s the perfect time to experience the best of SF’s art scene!  

This year, Downtown San Francisco is a vibrant hub for art lovers. Explore acclaimed galleries and exhibitions like Rebecca Camacho PresentsGallery Wendi Norris, Scott Richards Contemporary ArtSHACK15 Art Prize, and don’t miss the ICA SF’s new exhibition at the Transamerica Pyramid Center. Pair your art adventures with culinary delights at SFAW insider favorites, because great art deserves great dining. 


What is SF Art Week?

SF Art Week celebrates the rich arts landscape of the San Francisco Bay Area. Art museums, non-profit organizations, and creative spaces host events during SF Art Week that invite attendees to connect in new and meaningful ways. SF Art Week provides a, comprehensive participant listmapprogram and Shop Dine SF Guide with insider tips on where to shop and dine while discovering great art. SF Art Week seeks to strengthen existing connections between art lovers, galleries, and artists through curating an inclusive guide for the week.

SF Art Week Kickoff at ICA SF – Transamerica Pyramid Center

The celebration begins January 17 from 6-10 PM with the SFAW Kickoff Party at the Transamerica Pyramid Center, the official SF Art Week Hub. Hosted by ICA SF, this event unveils new exhibitions by Tara Donovan and Lily Kwong, complemented by DJ sets, curated cocktails, and light bites. Supported by the Svane Family Foundation, the hub will feature exclusive performances, artist programming, and engagement throughout the week.

Rebecca Camacho Presents

Rebecca Camacho Presents is excited to present a solo exhibition of new works by Los Angeles-based textile artist Christy Matson, and a project room presentation of intricately worked paintings and drawings by Inverness-based artist Karen Barbour.

Gallery Wendy Norris

Gallery Wendi Norris is proud to present Marie Wilson: A Poet of Forms and Colors, the artist's debut with the gallery and first major solo exhibition in San Francisco since 1984. Join the opening reception for Marie Wilson on Tuesday, January 20 from 11 AM to 6 PM to witness this long-awaited return of a true poetic visionary.

Scott Richards Contemporary Art

Scott Richards Contemporary Art is excited to introduce the premier San Francisco exhibition of sculptures by Woods Davy, Clouds from the Sea, “whose work transforms raw, unaltered stones into weightless compositions that challenge traditional notions of balance and form.” Join the opening reception for Woods Davy on Saturday, January 24 from 4-6 PM.

SHACK15 at the Ferry Building

Featuring works by the inaugural cohort of SHACK15 Artist Fellows and a curator’s tour of the work, join the Opening Reception of the SHACK15 Artist Fellow Exhibition on Tuesday, January 20 from 5-8 PM at the Ferry Building. The exhibition features work spanning painting, sculpture, textile weaving, installation, and performance-driven practices. The exhibit will be open to the public from January 21-23.

Explore Beyond Downtown: FOG Design+Art at Fort Mason

From January 21–25, FOG Design+Art returns to Fort Mason Center for its 12th edition, featuring 60+ world-renowned galleries, the third edition of FOG FOCUS, the return of FOG MRKT, and so much more. FOG Fair allows you to experience the best art and design from around the globe, right here in San Francisco. This internationally recognized fair is a must-attend event during SF Art Week for design collectors and art enthusiasts!
