Born and raised in San Francisco (with some time spent in Southern California and Europe), Claude grew up in a family deeply rooted in civic engagement and community stewardship—values shaping his work for a reimagined downtown San Francisco.  

Claude serves as the VP of Planning & Economic Development for the Downtown SF Partnership, an urban place management organization overseeing 43 blocks of the Financial District and the Jackson Square Historic District. He brings skills and expertise in urban planning, neuroarchitecture, and organizational psychology to develop and manage more beneficial and effective environments. 

He holds a B.S. in City & Regional Planning from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an M.A. in Change Leadership from the California School of Professional Psychology, with supplemental PhD-level coursework in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Claude lives in San Francisco’s Castro district with his partner and their cat Cosmo.
