Front Street Entertainment Zone

Front Street, home to iconic downtown bars such as Harrington's Bar and Grill, Schroeder's, and Royal Exchange, is positioned to become California's first "Entertainment Zone" and downtown's newest social destination through a mix of street beautification, signature block parties, musical activations, and seasonal celebrations bolstered by safe alcohol consumption in the closed street. DSFP is acting as the project lead with support from the San Francisco Mayor's Office, and BOMA San Francisco.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has approved Mayor London N. Breed's initiative to establish the city's first Entertainment Zones in Downtown and other neighborhoods, under the provisions of Senate Bill 76 authored by State Senator Scott Wiener. This legislation, effective this year, will allow bars and restaurants within these zones to sell alcoholic beverages for outdoor events and activations.
