In addition to regular programming, the Downtown SF Partnership features a series of larger scale signature events throughout the year including but not limited to:
Get ready to be dragged, honey! Each June, DSFP hosts a series of fierce pop-up drag shows reminding folks that downtown SF is a welcoming space for all. Featuring new performers at a new venue each week, this sequin studded series helps to promote local businesses while inviting attendees to explore venues that they haven’t previously frequented. Funds from event pre-registration go towards supporting local LGBTQ+ nonprofits.
Oui, oui, c’est magnifique! This annual event celebrates French independence each year on the quaint, restaurant-lined Belden Place. Bastille on Belden offers up French-themed fun in the Financial District, complete with free berets. The classic accordion music of Vintage Jukebox, festive decor, Bastille Day promotions served by the restaurants of Belden Place, and a charming mime performer remind attendees why San Francisco was once called the Paris of the West.
The Downtown SF Partnership’s premier winter event holds the title of the largest holiday projection mapping event in the U.S.! Let’s Glow SF uses cutting-edge technology to bring the facades of iconic district buildings to life each year in early December. Through music, art and animation, this event continues to aid in revitalizing the area post-pandemic, drawing excited crowds to the Financial District during the holiday season.
